'Happiness' is defined as a state of pleasure or pleasurable satisfaction. Every time I think back to April of 2010 my heart will be filled with happiness, no matter what I may be going through in my life. I have had a dream of modeling for many years now and thanks to The United Colors of Benetton I can say I have fulfilled a long-standing dream. Thank you does not seem like enough. If I were to never book another modeling job, I would be able to progress in my life in another occupation happily. I can go on with a feeling of accomplishment. I can go on with a feeling of contentment. I can go on with peace and joy in my heart. I prayed so hard to be able to be one of the 20 winners of this competition and my God listens to and answers prayers. I now know He did so to teach me invaluable life lessons that I could not have learned any other way. He taught me the true meaning of friendship, of humility, and He taught me what it is truly like to be blessed. I now know what it is like to want and need something on many different levels ,and the struggle you sometimes have to go through to achieve your goals in life. I am a much better person for it. Nobody will ever know how much this Competition meant to me for reasons much deeper than simply gaining a beautiful photo. Although my Thank You from the United States seems minute, I am very appreciative and I thank everyone who helped make my dream a reality.
